Alias

I am a TV addict, and have put off going cold turkey by watching the second series of Alias on my computer. As synchronicity would have it, in the third episode, Sydney Bristow (sexy spy extraordinaire) is sent to Sri Lanka to stop a missile launch. As those who watch the show will know she goes to 2 or 3 exotic locations each episode. Sometimes they are famous places, like Moscow, or London, and when that is the case we will get shots of the Red Square or Big Ben. If it's Australia it is always a big mansion in FNQ - a bit like the Aussie scenes in Lost. Sri Lanka got zip. There was kind of a kind of scrubby hill country that in no way resembled tropical, beautiful, Sri Lanka and the missile lab was staffed by Europeans. Clearly Sri Lanka has an image problem in the States. But that's okay. From what I can gather, the States has an image problem with Sri Lankans.
