Family writes

Here's an article by Alison Bechdel in Slate on writing (and illustrating) the story of her relationship with her father (she is an out lesbian, he was in the closet) and his suicide and how writing that book effected her mother. Virginia gave me the book in question, Fun Home for Christmas. It's a fantastic graphic novel and I highly recommend it.

Darlene says:

Love a good graphic novel so I will seek it out.

The notion that her father was gay is complicated by the "teen boys" bit. That doesn't make him gay but something else surely (the word starts with "p").
