Good Night, and Good Luck
Don't miss Good Night, and Good Luckwhich is directed and produced by George Clooney. It's restrained, pertinent, visually gorgeous (if you like black and white - which I do) and both depressing and uplifting. Depressing because the McCarthy era was so like this one but we don't seem to have the journalists who feel able to go into battle, but uplifting, because it reminds you that individuals taking action can make a difference. If you think George Clooney is sexy (I do) you may be disappointed however as he deliberately works against his looks to make Fred Friendly (can you believe that name?) work.
