Inside out
There was something about the trees and some other plants in the rainforest that looked human to me. Well, the inside of humans, really. Intestinal. Skeletal.

You're right, there is something intestinal about them, and - dare I say it - embryonic. At least certainly in the third photo.
Did you see any where the strangler fig had killed-off the host tree within its frame of roots and stems, leaving a cavity where the host had decomposed?
Eerie verging on chilling.
Reminds me of our industrialised economy.
