Literary Gossip

Jane Palfreman left Random House Australia and is now at Allen and Unwin, Nikki Christer left Pan Macmillan where she published the literary list, Picador, and has now been appointed deputy Publishing Director at Random House, with Margie Seale remaining at Random as publishing director. Meredith Curnow will be the Knopf/Vintage publisher. Meanwhile, over at Pan, James Fraser is planning to turn Picador into a general imprint combining commercial and literary books.
