Tipped off
local ATM, originally uploaded to Flickr.
In The Tipping Point, Malcom Gladwell discusses the theory that the more run down things get, the more run down they get. Our local ATM has been disintegrating for a year now. Last month things got much worse and it took to eating cards without giving people money. Last night someone got to it with a pick axe. Which is not surprising. The National Bank (sorry guys. I mean 'nab') sacked lots of people, so we could pay for this non-service, which they don't maintain. Calling themselves something cute like 'nab' doesn't really solve the problem. Fuckers.
