Loss
I've been driving up to this land at Terip Terip for almost 30 years, and they've been working on it all that time.Words fail me. But here are some images of what my mother
and stepfather
are currently fighting to save. They aren't on the highest alert but places about 18 kilometers away from them are. They will probably be fine - God, I hope so. But thousands of people are not.

(My nieces are not, I hasten to say, actually at Terip at the moment. But they love it there.)
