Mad Mel
ABC are going cold on the idea of Mel Gibson doing a mini series on the HOLOCAUST!! On what day did anyone in Los Angeles think that was a good idea? I know projects need big names attached to them (that's a whole problem in itself) but doesn't anyone care what those names actually are? His recent outburst is actually funny, because we all knew he thought like this, but now he can't pretend he doesn't. Jeff Sparrow has a great post on Gibson over at Left Write.
Update: Christopher Hitchens has written a great article on Mel Gibson: 'One does not abruptly decide, between the first and second vodka, or the ticks of the indicator of velocity, that the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion are valid after all.'
