Martini good, film bad
Virginia bought me these funky martini glasses in New York. I thanked her for the gift by making the perfect vodka martini. Lots of ice in glasses before hand, lemon peel left in the vodka for a while, and only a smidgin of vermouth. Delicious.

Then we went to see There will be blood which, despite some extraordinary moments were, was ultimately disappointing. Except for the soundtrack, which I thought was fantastic. Pyschopaths killing each other in disgusting ways was clearly the flavour of last year (I had a similar response to No Country for Old Men). Clearly we should have stayed at home enjoyed vodka and lemon flavour instead.
