The Emerging Moomba Princess Parade: a varied post

This weekend the Emerging Writers Festivalwas held at the townhall. I'm the board and was taking photos. It was, by the way, a fantastic festival and you must attend next year, whoever you may be.

Shane & Adam (Adam Ford looks like mayoral in this, I think. It must be the chairs.)

Jane Gleeson-White (This is my friend Jane Gleeson-White who was an Amabassador of the festival - she's going to be launching Bird in a couple of weeks)

But I got distracted by other joys of the Town Hall. Such as these ladies. Ladies, Melbourne Town Hall

And piles of bags looking arty.

Arty shot of Reading's bags

Not to mention the parade out the front of the Hall.

Parade and trams

Parade One float had an effigy of someone who was murdered and then used as an organ transplant donor. The Falun Gong (who I assume organised the parade) claim they are being used in such a way. If it is true, it's, well, a very bad thing.Falun Gong protest against organ translplants
