No two cupcakes are the same

Last weekend Virginia and I went to a friend's wedding. It was around the time that Ruddock said something about same-sex civil unions 'diminishing' heterosexual marriage. As if bigotry (and cynical bigotry at that) isn't what diminishes. So we were both extremely touched that one of the prayers in the church blessed 'those who are not allowed to marry because of bigotry'. Then, during the beautiful bride's speech, she said she was sad that so many of her friends were denied the right to have a day as happy, and meaningful, as her wedding day was to her. We were very moved.
