Riding to Williamstown
Yesterday a group of us, including Miss Susannah, rode our bikes to Williamstown.

This meant battling the mighty ships of the Bay (pre-dredging. Post dredging they will get even mightier) and catching a punt.

On the way back from Williamstown
Mike's
bike got stuck at the bottom of the pile o' bike, and got slightly wrecked.

He had to get a taxi home. We pushed on to Albert Park and then staggered home to Buffalo Mozzarella and beer. Perfect.

Last Day at LP
I've always enjoyed the drive to Lonely Planet. All that industrial landscape. Yesterday was my last day. Hopefully the clouds are in no way symbolic of what's coming up next. (Yes, it's true, I often stand around with my head...More»

Love your trip to Williamstown. But can I ask if you can make the pictures 72dpi suitable for the web as some take too long to appear on the page. Though that said, my internet has been very slow today.
Have got Geography here but not read it yet. How did I find your blog? Well the Age Saturday General Knowledge crossword has you as a topic.

Sophie sorry didn't mean to post twice - hit the button by mistake.
Your trip on the punt across the bay reminded me of the good old days when (well behaved) dogs were allowed on such things and as it was during the week and then the trip was NOT as well known and therefore not as crowded as it is now on the weekend, the chap took my little brown kelpie and I across just for the trip. It IS an amazing journey and a frightening realisation of just how large a port city Melbourne is and was.
