Scary mouth

I use to be too frightened to walk through the Luna Park mouth in Sydney or in Melbourne. One of my strongest memories as a small girl living in Sydney (I was 4 or so) was catching a ferry which went past the mouth.I'm pretty sure this was a regular event and I freaked out every time. Anyway, I walked past the wall-to-wall famous writers in my hotel lobby (well, Jeanette Winterson and Hermione Lee) to take this pic and it dawned on me: I really must buy a tripod. It took about 20 minutes of stuffing around to get this shot using existing surfaces to steady it. I was worried that I was going to get arrested for perceived over-enthusiastic lingering around dark places under the harbour bridge. Anyway - see what I mean? Scary. (Jeanette Winterson, on the other hand, is not scary. She is little.)
