Snow Pudding
I have come to Sri Lanka and India for three months and am staying with a family in Colombo for a few days before I go up to a writer's retreat in the hills. Last night I was given a desert called 'Floating Islands'.When I pressed for details I was told it was a 'Snow pudding'. As it was 36 degrees and very humid, this was exciting news. The rain did actually break after that and it poured for hours. There have been concerns that the monsoon wasn't going to come, which would cause alot of problems but this morning the family I am with felt perhaps it had finally come and sent me off into the day with a huge umbrella.
