Suddenly
After reading this post I am going back to my draft of Bird and removing the word 'suddenly' because suddenly it has become clear to me that I am a culprit of using the word suddenly to attempt to create tension. I'm glad I read this:
"Never use the word suddenly just to create tension." --Writing Fiction
before I sent off my novel to be published.
