Tomatoes

My tomatoes have been a mixed success. Not much fruit, a constant battle against heat, and endless going out into the lane with buckets of shower water. A friend told me that the heat is killing the flowers so that's why there isn't much fruit. The same friend gave me a tip for warding off possums - putting a big teddy bear among the plants. Apparently it freaks the possums out. To be honest the giant teddy bear in her front yard freaked me out. My step-father told me that his neighbor told him that rose bloom encourager (not the technical name you understand) makes a big difference.

Also, and sadly, one of the houses that backs onto our lane wants access so he can build a garage at the back of his property. So that's the end of my brief tub gardening career - or will be, in a few months.

Last, but certainly not least: expect a post on my new worm farm. Just trying to get enough light to photograph the buggers.
