Tonight

There are sometimes in your life where all you see is good. And sometimes whereit is hard to see it at all. Today I went to see the young man I mentioned in my last post and that was heart breaking. Then I went to see William Yang's show at the Melbourne festival, Objects for Meditation. It was very beautiful. His performance is a genre he's made his own. A combination of slide show and talk. Sometimes funny. Very personal and a bit eccentric. Not unlike good blogging, in a way. William ended on a mediation on death and the importance of living life well and I try not to dwell on the fact that my young friend might have had his chance to live well stolen from him.

Then, riding my bike home in the dark, a group of men in a four-wheel-drive followed me, called me a hooker and pelted me with eggs. I rode the rest of the way home in a blur of tears, feeling about five-years-old. So, I need some nice images to mediate on. We all do.
