Watts Arts Centre
Watts Arts Centre, originally uploaded to Flickr.
Virginia and I have just finished two intensive days of sight seeing in Los Angeles. Now she's gone to South by South West and I've gone into research mode. Perhaps the most interesting place we visited yesterday (and since we got here, really) is Watts. I was going down South Central Avenue to find hints of the jazz scene that used to flourish around there. Other than some banners commemorating it, I didn't get far on that front, but did visit this centre, and the Watts Towers, which is a fairly strange piece of folk art. Picture to follow.
