Ashley Wawn says:
Well that's strange because my great-grandfather was a CHEMIST (not a doctor) named Victor Wawn and he invented (& manufactured) "Wawn's Wonder Wool". I have looked into the linial decendants of Victor's & there is no Sophie Cunningham. Might you be a descendant of DOCTOR Royal Wawn of Melbourne? He was MY great-grandfather Victor's brother...
sophie says:
Yes, I am Royal Wawn's great-grandaughter. I was told he'd invented the Wonder Wool. I will press my mother for details. Her name is Sari Wawn. I could be on the family tree as Sophie Nicholls.
Pam says:
Hi Sophie,
I would love to buy one. I am hanging onto the threads of my old one. Would you know where I could purchase it from?
sophie says:
I am afraid I don't though I have been told it is still available. If I find out I'll note it down on this post.
louise says:
is this wool still avaliable
thanks
Tracey says:
We have it here in New Zealand too, in fact I have it on me knee now, my mum's had it for around forty years, and its still going strong (as raggedy as it is). We'd love some more, some new.
