What Steve Miller's been up to
Steve Miller ran The Standard when it was my pub of choice. Then he ran (might still run) the extremely cool record label W. Minc. Now he's opened a cafe called the House of Refreshment, that is located on the north west corner of The Convent in Abbotsford.

It's still the pub I go to the most - but I find it much more crowded. It used to feel like an extension of my living room (I lived close by) and I loved that. Now I often can't get a table. And I've been scarred by years of post pubnoise waking me up.
