Where I'm at

There is a lot I should be doing today, even though it is a Long Weekend, but I can't seem to summon up the enthusiasm for finishing my Writers & Blogging article, or to re-read the final draft of my novel before I send it back to Text. The reason why I should be working rather than blogging and drinking green tea, is that I have started a non-writing job for a few months - I am going to be the Trade and Reference Publisher at Lonely Planet. It is hard to put writing on the back burner for so long, but it's an interesting job in an area I am interested in. And as most people who read me would know, you can't live off the money you make as a writer in Australia unless you have greater discipline than I do. You certainly can't do things like nick off to Spain for two weeks and consider yourself restrained in only buy two pairs of Campers.

So. That's me for now. A publisher again. I assume it means I'll blog less - the hours are long. But we'll see.
