Wine not whine

I'm staying at the Hotel Triton. I'd recommend it. Bohemian in the chain hotel sense of the word, which means drinks in the foyer, tarot readers on tap etc. But done really well.

My hotel

Points to note: the wine glass by my bed has water in it, however I have drunk too much wine. A hazard of jetlag I find. I lose the will power to manage my potential addictions.

Virginia to note: I am pretty keen on the ipod speakers/ alarm clock.

It's strange being in a city for work rather than as an independent traveller. If I was a tourist I would have gone back to my favourite places but I kind of like being made to hang with locals (work colleagues) and just 'live' in a place for a few days. Though yes, I admit it, up-class living. But in San Francisco it's either that, or the other. Homelessness is obvious everywhere. I took this photo in North Beach, beside City lights bookstore. It's pretty typical.

Homeless

You could ask A good question

and I assume the answer would be all about market forces but somehow that's not good enough.
