World News

Before I arrived at the internet cafe in Colombo today, four pieces of news had filtered through to me:

Russell Crowe beat up a concierge in New York.

Michael Jackson was found Not-Guilty.

Two people had sex in the bath in Big Brother (but then I heard that was not the case).

The body of the poor young Australian man who was missing in Costa Rica was found.

My interest in the first three items of news was particlarly difficult to convey to people around me.
